Meeting Space: Safeside at Handsworth

Safeside at Handsworth offers convenient meeting and training space at a discount to other community safety partners, local community or not for profit groups. We have meeting rooms of different sizes and an ICT suite of 16 PCs. Availability is dependent on our educational programmes which take priority.

Evening and weekend bookings depend on the availability of staff and cost more. Guest wifi is available although some websites are restricted

Catering can be booked through the Centre at an extra cost or own catering may be provided by customers. Also the Centre can provide a hot drinks machine at an added cost to the room hire.
 
The following equipment is included in the cost of the room hire.
  • Flip chart/pens
  • Ceiling mounted or portable data projectors suitable for power point presentations with your own laptop
  • Portable induction loop

Meeting Room 1

This room will accommodate a maximum of 50 people (theatre style) and has a PC. Visitors can also use their laptops.Guest wifi also available.

Meeting Room 2

This room is provided with tables and chairs will accommodate a maximum number of 12 people.

Meeting Room 3 (ICT suite)

This room  is fitted with 16 PC's plus one additional PC for the presenter/tutor with ceiling mounted projector and large screen, and is ideal for IT training purposes. 

Meeting Room 4

This room will accommodate up to a maximum of 25 people and can be set up theatre style or classroom/Boardroom style.

~ Please note that for all bookings after 5pm on weekdays or all day at weekends 20% will be added to the charge to cover staff overtime costs
* When ICT suite not block booked by an organisation, individuals may pay at an individual rate
^ Safety scenarios are bookable by professional partners only, in agreement with the manager (we usually run our own educational programmes here and must ensure correct safety messaging is given)
